Little Buds

Our Little Buds classroom is the infant transition room. At this point, your child is at that adorable in- between stage of being an infant and toddler known as a Waddler! We see so much value in separating our Waddlers from their younger/older counterparts because their developmental needs and individual interests vary. Our Little Buds classroom provides more space and opportunities for movement and exploration. Your child will start with the same individualized care they received in the previous classroom, but will gradually work towards functioning as a group with the rest of their classmates with mealtimes and transition from sleeping in a crib to taking one nap (after lunch) on a mat. They will also work on eating with bowls, plates, spoons and drinking from a sippy cup. The Little Buds classroom consists of discovery filled days enabling active learning and they will find lots of fun and exciting toys & materials to further develop both fine and gross motor skills along with enjoying daily outdoor time on the playground, story time, songs, finger plays, art time and sensory play.

* All of this is done with parental consent and our staff is great at communicating with you about what your preferences are and what you feel is best for your child. Your child does not have to master these skills to move to the next classroom we just use them as goals to work towards.

(18 - 23 months)

Budding Sprouts

Waddlers in our Budding Sprouts classroom are discovering who they are and are becoming more independent. Each day is full of engaging songs, stories, art and playtime that are planned with your child’s developmental needs in mind. Our Budding Sprouts will continue learning concepts such as colors, shapes, letters, numbers and counting. Activities and interactions between teachers and children promote expanding their vocabulary. Our Budding Sprouts will begin to learn skills such as sharing, taking turns, picking up toys and hand washing. Our teachers implement learning strategies while playing and interacting with your child. We have toys and materials designed specifically for children in our Budding Sprouts classroom that promotes intellectual curiosity, social and communication skills.
