1. What is your payment policy?Tuition is due every Friday before the next school week. There is a $15 late fee if paid on the Monday of that week. If tuition is not paid upon drop off that Monday morning, your child will not be accepted for care that week. ** Tuition payment reserves a spot for your child each week, and there will be no deduction or refund for missed days and/or weeks due to holidays, vacations, illnesses, weather closures or temporary absence. Even though your child is absent, he/she is still enrolled at our center and tuition covers reserving their spot, teacher's salaries, licensing and insurance fees.

2. How much is due at the time of enrollment?You will be responsible for paying an annual non-refundable $100 enrollment fee, along with 1 week of tuition. At the time of enrollment, parents are required to sign a tuition agreement, pay the enrollment fee of $100.00 along with one week's tuition in advance prior to your child's first day. THE ENROLLMENT FEE AND 1ST WEEK OF TUITION IS NONREFUNDABLE. ** There is also a $200 annual Supply Fee that is billed bi-annually usually in January & July or depending on start date.

3. Are there additional fees for school supplies?Supply Fee: $200 which is billed in bi-annual payments of $100.00 (usually in January & July or depends on start date).

4. Do you offer subsidized child care?Yes! We will be taking vouchers starting August 2024.

5. What is the child/teacher ratio?SSLA believes that ample supervision is essential to ensure: A quality education with one-on-one learning opportunities A safe environment to learn, play, and grow A caring environment where each child feels valued and secure The child/teacher ratio at SSLA follows state standards for childcare centers. Based on the age of your child, this ratio will vary.

6. Is there a food menu that lists meals and snacks served?Yes! All meals and snacks served are listed in the monthly School Menu. Should your child have special dietary needs or allergies, please advise the Director of restrictions. Parents provide formula, milk in bottles and food for infants who do not yet eat regularly prepared meals and snacks.

7. My child has food allergies, is the school equipped to manage his/her needs?Please talk to the Director about any food restrictions. It is recommended that if a child cannot eat from our main menu whether due to allergy or food restriction we recommend that the child bring lunch from home. SSLA only provides nut free lunches and snacks due to many children being allergic. We therefore require that any food brought into the school for any event to be purchased from a GROCERY STORE in a nut free environment and labeled as such.

8. Who provides diapers, wipes and creams?These items are all provided by the parent. Everyone has their preferences as to what they like to use for their children. You can leave these items at the school in your child’s cubby. If a child require any topical ointments/creams to be applied a permission form will need to be signed.

9. Will you administer medication if needed?NOTE: Children should stay at home if they are sick! Medication will be administered if the child is able to participate in all areas of the program offered, including outdoor play. Only prescription medications, ointments, and creams can be given to your child if needed. New medications must be administered at home 24 hours before returning to center in case of a reaction. Parents are required to fill out a medication form and to supply all medications in their original containers. These must be age appropriate and labeled with the child’s name and physician. Medications that are expired will not be dispensed and medication forms must be updated every six months. SSLA follows the regulations from the Department of Education to ensure the safety and health of all children. See Medication Policy. If a child becomes ill during the day, the parents/guardians or emergency contacts will be notified. Your child must be picked up within an hour timeframe. Your child’s needs will be looked after as best as we can until pickup.

10. Does my child have to be potty trained?All children enrolled in preschool (3s & 4s) classes need to be potty trained and all others do not need to be potty trained. If you are currently potty training your child, SSLA wants to help! Please coordinate with your child’s teachers so they can support your efforts during the day.
